Stephanie Leung wins inaugural award.

Stephanie Leung has won the inaugural Apromo Trading Certificate 4 in Hospitality (Patisserie) Award for Academic Achievement in Patisserie. Nick Page (General Manager – Victoria) presented the award to Stephanie as part of Apromo Trading’s ongoing partnership programme with the William Angliss Institute. In addition to the bi-annual award Apromo Trading sponsors two WAI Certificate 3 graduates each year to undertake Certificate 4 studies who otherwise may not have progressed due to financial pressures.

Marzipan Expert Erich Dietrich To Visit Apromo Trading

Erich Dietrich from Lubeca in Germany will be visiting Apromo Trading in May at our Sydney head office. He will run a presentation on marzipan, with a demonstration of techniques, and there will be tastings. If you are interested in attending, please ask your sale rep. Erich is an expert on marzipan. He is Head of Product Development with Lubecca.

We visited Pernigotti at the trade fair and viewed their new packaging. They certainly have put some design effort into their range. This enhances their classic products such as the Gianduiotti range. We are off to Europe seeking new products to bring to Australia. Each year a few of us attend trade fairs in Europe and visit various suppliers. Sirha exhibition, the world hospitality and food service trade fair is late January in Lyon, France. Here we will focus on patisserie and chocolate products. Apromo Trading Award for Excellence in Patisserie scholarships

Apromo Trading has announced it will sponsor two new annual scholarships, for two Stage 2 Non-Apprentice students continuing into Certificate IV Patisserie training at William Angliss Institute Melbourne campus. The sponsorship is worth up to $1000 each, to support patisserie students. Fine Food Australia 2014

Apromo Trading will again be at the Fine Food Fair. This is at the Melbourne exhibition centre, 15th to 18th September 2014. We will run two stalls, one for Retailers and one for Food Service.
