Gault&Millau publish an annual restaurant guide for the Australian fine dining scene, with their Yellow Guide benchmarking restaurants based upon anonymous dining by qualified reviewers. The 2017 Gault&Millau Australia Restaurant Guide was launched Monday 7th November 2016 at The Park, Albert Park, Melbourne. Winners of eight awards were announced at this event. Apromo Trading congratulates all winners but in particular we encourage two impressive pastry chefs:
Congratulations to Anna Polyviou, of Shangri-La Hotel Sydney, upon winning the Apromo Trading 2016 Pastry Chef of the Year Award.
Congratulations to Katey Shaw, of Campbelltown Catholic Club, upon winning the American Express 2016 Potentialist of the Year Award.
Apromo Trading ran a stall at the event showcasing some of our products to the restaurateurs, chefs and industry professionals attending. Filip Tibos, one of our pastry chefs, prepared an array of desserts for attendees to sample. We had fun smashing up Belcolade courverture chocolate for tasting.
