Gault & Millau 2018 Restaurant Guide Launch and Awards Night

Several of us from Apromo Trading attended the launch of the Gault&Millau Australia 2018 Restaurant Guide. This was a fun evening held at The Cannery Rosebery on Monday 13th November 2017.
The Gault&Millau yellow guide is an annual reference of the Australian fine dining scene, benchmarking restaurants based upon anonymous dining by qualified reviewers.

There were some colourful characters in flamboyant frocks sharing their ebullient spirit and fostering a party atmosphere through the crowd. It could be said they were somewhat loud.
We enjoyed the many gourmet foods and drinks offered to impress us, and so we were.

White chocolate truffles made with Belcolade Domicican Republic 29% enrobed in Croc’In nougatine.

Katey is an award winner from the previous year (Potentialist of the year) and was at this event to present a talk about her experiences and how winning has helped her develop her skills. The award came with a prize of a European training tour, including visiting Puratos and Belcolade in Belgium. She talked of working and learning in European restaurants.
Katey impressed the crowd by showing off her Gault&Millau tattoo now prominent on her forearm. What a statement!
