Dobla Asia Tour

Bev and Guy from Apromo Trading head office were hosted by Dobla on a tour of the Dobla Asia facilities in Vietnam. This busy business trip in November 2017 was a great opportunity to meet many of the people involved in the production of chocolate decorations.
The trip was a great introduction for Bev to Dobla and their systems. Guy joined in on the induction and plantation visits.
The trip included factory visits, product demonstrations, strategic planning, product knowledge, quality assurance and marketing sessions.
They were joined by Eric Kakebeen, President Dobla Asia, and Bruno Hirsch, Sales Director Asia/Pacific, as well as many other Dobla team members.
- Product demonstrations by Otto Tay, Corporate Pastry Chef.
- Tasting some of the 2018 Chefs Collection.
- The factory tour led by by Luc Laureys, Production Manager. Dobla has doubled the size of their factory.
- Cacao Plantation visit. This was to a small scale farm with on-site initial processing and fermentation.
- Innovation Centre – a state of the art world class facility for New Product Development (NPD).
