Dobla Chef Otto Tay Wins Asian Pastry Cup

The Asian Pastry Cup 2018 is a live event held in Singapore, with teams chefs by country competing demonstrating their skills. Each team creates one chocolate showpiece, one sugar showpiece, 18 plated desserts and 2 chocolate cakes withing an 8 hour time limit.
The competition is held in co-operation with Bakery & Pastry 2018 Singapore Expo. Winners from this event go on to compete at the World Pastry Cup 2019 in Lyon, France.

From August 2017, Otto officially began as Corporate Pastry Chef in Vietnam at the Pastry Academy of Dobla Asia. As well as his management role with the school, Otto Tay will plays an active role in the development of the Asian market through demonstrations, training and professional explanation of product applications.

Otto was most helpful and instructive on the recent visit by Guy and Bev from Apromo Trading to Dobla’s Vietnam facilities.

Otto Tay will visit Australia

Otto Tay will be supported by Apromo in his visit to Australia from 9th to the 20th July where he will be working alongside Dominique Van Droogenbroek, Filip Tibos, Sebastien Bougere and Jeff Bulckens on customer Innovation Days and Master Classes in Victoria, QLD and NSW.
